About Me

I am married with two daughters and have a long-suffering husband, all of whom have given me constant support and encouragement over the past fifteen years whilst I have been building up my business as an ADI.

I had been a Teacher at Grays School in Newhaven for 19 years before I decided I needed a new challenge and began training to teach people to drive. 

A lot of my friends were surprised at the change of direction I’d taken, but in many ways the job is very much the same – except that my ‘classroom’ is now constantly ‘on the move’ and there are always new things to learn – both for me and my learners.

No two days are ever the same and I really enjoy being out on the road in different places whilst helping my pupils put their learning into practise and watching them develop their skills and pass their Driving Tests. Of course the final test is not all that it's about – it's equally important that they each become safe and careful drivers who are able to deal with a range of  ‘Real Life’ situations out on the road.

I qualified as an Approved Driving Instructor in July 2007 and one of my greatest pleasures has been teaching some of the youngsters I used to know when they were children, who are now young adults learning to drive –  I have been lucky to have had a ready supply of families whose parents have known me for some time and who have trusted me to teach their teenagers to drive –a huge responsibility these days on our busy roads!       

Of course I don’t only teach teenagers – I teach learners of all ages and levels of ability and have also taught the parents of two of my past pupils.

I am always happy to meet and talk to anyone about Refresher Courses and Driver Improvement and can help with PDI training for Parts 1 and 2.
